Cameron Ireland
Chief Technology Officer

Cameron Ireland oversees all technology and development operations as Chief Technology Officer of the Deal following the acquisition of BoardEx during late 2014. Prior to The Deal, he was an Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer for BoardEx. Prior to BoardEx, Mr. Ireland was a management consultant specialising in e-Commerce and Technology; Head of Product Development and IT at E-Vote, a business unit of Thomson Financial; Senior Project Manager in European Financial Services for Reuters. Mr. Ireland also spent more than 11 years within in the Private Banking sector, working as a Credit Analyst and Account Executive.

Dominick Sutton
Chief Data Officer

Dominick Sutton leads the data operations of The Deal, including those in India, the UK and US. Prior to joining The Deal, he was Managing Director: Content for BoardEx, which was acquired by The Deal in late 2014. Prior to BoardEx, Mr. Sutton was Chief Economist and Head of Research for Investec Ireland and has also advised several Hedge Funds. He started his career as a water quality manager and analyst in Southern Africa. Mr. Sutton graduated with Bachelor and Master degrees in Economics cum laude and an MBA as well as other qualifications in science and mathematics. He was awarded the Senate Medal for his bachelor degree, and is a member of the practitioner faculty of the Chartered Management Institute.


 

Eric Hayden Shakun
Vice President, Strategy and Operations

Eric is responsible for ensuring that The Deal has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the business and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. Mr. Shakun has been with the TheStreet, Inc., the parent company of The Deal, since March 2012. Prior to TheStreet, he provided M&A advisory services at The Jordan, Edmiston Group, Inc., and also held roles at CreditCards.com, Lehman Brothers, FTI Consulting and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Shakun holds an M.B.A. from Yale School of Management and a B.S. in both Finance and Accounting from University of Maryland.
