On the latest episode of Behind the Buyouts, Mark McFadden, co-managing partner of CCMP Growth Advisors LP, discussed the firm’s middle market strategy and sector-focused investing.
The New York-based firm invests in industrial and consumer businesses with at least 10% organic growth and is often the first institutional investor.
CCMP, which owns platforms in roofing; heating, ventilation and air conditioning; decks; and more, relies on a research-driven sourcing model focused on six core subsectors, enabling the firm to prioritize high-growth niches and avoid lower-margin industries. The firm typically invests in companies with $10 million to $50 million in Ebitda.
CCMP’s value creation centers on management development, strategic planning, M&A execution and systems upgrades and positioning companies for higher-value exits.
The firm’s investments include commercial HVAC services company Airo Mechanical LLC, exterior services company Omnia Exterior Solutions and specialty distributor Decks & Docks.
