Hivest Capital Partners senior adviser Gregory Molin discusses the firm's value investing strategy and its cross-border approach to lower middle market M&A.

On the latest episode of Behind the Buyouts, Hivest Capital Partners SAS senior adviser Gregory Molin discussed the Paris-based firm’s strategy and U.S. expansion as well as his expectations for increased M&A activity in 2026 as market uncertainty fades.

Hivest focuses on founder-owned businesses and corporate carveouts with €10 million to €30 million ($11.8 million to $35.5 million) in Ebitda. In addition to being the first institutional capital for most investments, the firm has a history of navigating complex carveouts and trans-Atlantic deals.

New York-based Molin explained how Hivest is deploying its value-oriented strategy in the U.S., beginning with its investment in Florida-based NV Labs, a nutraceutical contract manufacturer. He also discussed portfolio companies such as nuclear documentation business Eowin and audiovisual solutions provider Videlio and Hivest’s thematic focus on business services and industrials.
