Mark Martin, global head of pharma services and technology at Houlihan Lokey Inc., broke down how investor appetite is evolving across the healthcare subsectors on the latest Behind the Buyouts podcast.
Los Angeles-based Martin highlighted the sale of Klick Inc. to Linden Capital Partners and GIC Pte. Ltd. in July as a bellwether deal that reflects investor interest in tech-native, artificial intelligence-integrated platforms.
Private equity and strategics are approaching deals more methodically, and valuations remain strong for A-tier assets, while B-tier businesses face greater scrutiny, he said. Martin forecast a back-half 2026 M&A surge, especially in channel engagement.
