Andrew Milano began practicing as an associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in New York in fall 2008, which at the time felt like a challenge, he said on this week’s Drinks With The Deal podcast.
“It was only with the benefit of hindsight that I saw how great an opportunity it was,” said Milano, now a partner at the law firm and co-leader of the firm’s global M&A practice, because he had the opportunity to gain experience on a range of deals, including public company M&A, buyouts and power plant acquisitions.
Milano, who with R. Alec Dawson at Morgan Lewis advised Bullish Global on its pending agreement to buy Equiniti Financial Services Ltd. from Siris Capital Group LLC for about $2.35 billion in stock and $1.85 billion of assumed debt, also talked about his approach to managing relationships both internally and externally and the influence his father, also a lawyer, has had on him.
