The Deal Recognizes Sidley's Jennifer Hagle as Part of Women in Dealmaking Package

Hagle, a partner in the firm’s restructuring and global finance practices, is an honoree in The Deal’s 2020 Top Women in Dealmaking list as part of the Restructuring category.

The Deal, an award-winning financial news organization, is proud to announce Sidley Austin LLP’s Jennifer Hagle has been named to its 2020 Top Women in Dealmaking list.

Hagle, a partner in the firm’s global finance and restructuring practices with over 30 years of experience, represents clients in both bankruptcy and out-of-court restructurings. Hagle is an honoree in The Deal’s 2020 Top Women in Dealmaking list as part of the Restructuring category. 

Hagle is lead counsel to Credit Suisse as administrative agent to the lender syndicate for IT and business solutions leader Global Knowledge in a cutting-edge restructuring deal. Notably, Hagle delivered unanimous consent from over 25 lenders to consummate the transaction out of court. Hagle is also advising MUFG Union Bank as administrative agent on loans to Chesapeake Energy in its Chapter 11 case — one of the largest-ever oil and gas filings. She also represented MUFG in the Chapter 11 case of Harvey Weinstein’s highly scrutinized film studio.

Sidley, meanwhile, traces its beginnings back to 1866 in Chicago. It employs more than 2,000 attorneys in 20 offices globally and represents clients on complex transactional, regulatory and litigation matters spanning a range of legal areas.

To be eligible for the Top Women in Dealmaking list, lawyers must be partners based in the U.S. The Deal recognized women in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, restructuring and bankruptcy, and activism as well as adjacent industries such as lending and capital markets.
